On January 23-26th, I was hired as a Las Vegas Conference Photographer for the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week event. This took place at The Mirage at Las Vegas, NV. This was the largest gathering in North America of the independent heavy duty industry. More than 2,000 people showed up! These people were executives, managers, distributors, suppliers, educators, and much more. They came from places all over. Many were from the United States and Canada, but people also came from six other countries. What Happens During HDAW? People who attend this conference have valuable networking opportunities. They get a chance to meet with the top industry executives. They come from all of the major heavy duty manufacturers and distributors. People meet each other through one on one meetings. On January 22nd, 2017, Feizy Rugs had a grand opening at the Las Vegas World Market Center. I was happy to be their Grand Opening Photographer in Las Vegas. Feizy rugs is one of the US largest rug manufacturers! You can immediately notice their ambitious expansion and renovations, therefore it was perfect for the event. It was in a prime location too- the main lobby of Building C (C-180). The ground-floor showroom happened just in time for the winter market, which ran from January 22-26th, 2017. The Special Operations Charity Network recently had a Charity Event in Las Vegas on January 17th, 2017. It took place at Tropicana Las Vegas, in the Havana room. The Special Operations Charity Network (SOCN) is a group made out of passionate volunteers. They are loyal to the well-being of their country’s Special Operations employees, whether they are still working or they retired. They also care about the families of these personnel. The SOCN does an incredible job in fundraising through various events throughout the year. They state that all of the funds that they raise go towards “vetted special operations charities”. They also hold silent auctions and sell donated items online to fund raise even more.
